How traffic will be affected during the Bridge Run 2025
he Bridge Run 2025 is one of the highlights of the Øresund Bridge's 25th anniversary when 40,000 runners will run from Denmark to Sweden. Traffic restrictions on the Øresund Bridge are necessary to maintain high safety for both traffic and runners.
Train passengers and road users are advised to avoid traveling over the bridge between 6 AM and 5 PM on June 15, if possible, so that those who must travel can have a smoother journey across the strait in connection with the Bridge Run. Allow for extended travel time during this period.
Participants in the Bridge Run are advised to choose the organizers' transport solutions from Sweden to the starting area and not to drive or travel by car.
Here we gather traffic information for those planning to travel over the bridge on June 15, 2025.

Are you driving over the bridge? How road traffic is affected
The capacity of the Øresund Bridge is limited during the Bridge Run on June 15, and customers are encouraged to drive before 6 AM or after 5 PM if possible. For those who need to drive during the Bridge Run, between 6 AM and 5 PM, the bridge will be open with reduced capacity, lower speed, and extended travel time. Between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM, traffic impact is expected to be greatest due to one-way traffic in the tunnel, which means it will alternately be open in each direction in periods of about 15 minutes. On the rest of the connection, there will be two-way road traffic in two of the bridge's four lanes. Follow the traffic situation on oresundsbron.com/trafikinformation and via traffic radio.
Traffic schedule 09:30-13:30
From 09:30 to 13:30, traffic will be one-way in the tunnel - and the direction will change approximately every 15 minutes. During this period you should expect: Queues, slower speeds and longer travel time.
Øresundsbron recommends all customers to avoid traveling over the bridge during this time to ensure a smoother passage for those going to work, flights etc.

Traffic schedule 06:00-09:30 and 13:30-17:00
From 06:00 to 09:30 and 13:30 to 17:00, one lane will be open for cars in both directions. During this period, expect queues, slower speeds and longer travel times.

Road closures in Tårnby, Kastrup, and Malmö
The traffic situation will be affected in the start and finish areas, along the route, and at transport hubs in connection with the race. This includes the area near Øresund Park in Tårnby, the Sibbarp area in Malmö, and the train stations Hyllie and Copenhagen Airport. The Bridge Run advises against all unnecessary traffic in these areas. Longer travel times are expected with metro, bus, train, and car in these areas.
