Updated traffic forecast: The Bridge Run

The Øresund Bridge forecast for the return to normal traffic has unfortunately been postponed until 19:00 due to longer queues than expected.

At around 18.00, traffic will be closed for approximately 30 minutes in both directions. This is for safety reasons to prepare the link for full capacity in four lanes.

What is the reason for the long queues during and after the Bridge Run?

During the race, there were several engine breakdowns on the route that required recovery and caused disruptions to traffic flow. At the same time, medical teams were deployed to provide care to runners who needed urgent assistance. These efforts further contributed to traffic delays. Øresundsbron would like to deny rumours of traffic accidents and damage to the facility during the Bridge Run.

The Bridge Race 2025 is part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Øresundsbron. Traffic restrictions on the Øresund Bridge are necessary to maintain a high level of safety for both traffic and runners.
