Its lifespan has been extended so that the connection can last for 200 years. Because one of the most sustainable things we can do is to take care of what is built to last.

The bridge connects everyday life and labour markets, making it possible to live in one place and work in another. But when rules and systems create barriers, the connection is weakened – and so is the trust that the region is truly connected. Therefore, the ambition is mobility that is real, usable and reliable. We take responsibility for what we can directly influence, from operations and maintenance to investments such as solar panels on the bridge.
