Øresundsbrons’s 2025 celebration - 25 Years Across the Bridge - honored everything we have already achieved together and looked ahead to the vast and future potential that the bridge enables.

The significance of Øresund Bridge goes far beyond the physical connection between Denmark and Sweden. The bridge has become a necessity – an indispensable part of everyday life in the Øresund Region. Øresund Bridge is a gateway to experiences on the other side of the strait and has contributed to an integrated region where it is easier to establish businesses, live, and work across the Øresund. 

Since its inauguration in 2000, Øresund Bridge has been a lifeline that has created experiences and connects people, cultures, and businesses across the Øresund. In 2025, we celebrated this important milestone with customers, employees, partners – and, of course, the public in both Denmark and Sweden

Today, Øresund Bridge is a strong symbol of cooperation and growth in the region. The bridge has played a crucial role in developing the Øresund Region, which today is one of Northern Europe’s most dynamic areas for economic prosperity, innovation, and cultural integration.
